The Nike Cortez was originally released in 1972, and is said to be the only model Nike has continuously produced since its original debut. The first model featured a white leather upper with a red swoosh and a blue accent on the midsole. Since then, the Nike Cortez has been produced in almost every color under the sun and in both nylon and suede uppers. A narrower women’s version has also been released called the “Senorita Cortez.”
